Lindenwood University was founded as a school for young women in 1832. Today, Lindenwood serves a diverse and co-ed body of students. Nearly 200 years after its founding, Lindenwood University is at a turning point, working to build an ecosystem that supports traditional, on-campus students as well as a growing population

of online learners, NCAA Division I sports, and the Lindenwood Education System which allows Lindenwood University to expand its offerings to include career-focused, technical education. With growth in mind, Lindenwood University embarked on its first-ever campus master plan, Lindenwood 2035 with the goal to establish Lindenwood as TheNext Great Learner-Centric University.

Lindenwood 2035 envisions a reimagined campus, one in which the physical space reflects the University’s mission, its history, and its aspirations for the future. It imagines a campus where academic, residential, athletic, and community spaces are strongly connected, and where pathways, landscapes, and buildings work together to create an environment that supports curiosity, belonging, and pride. As part of this vision, the Master Plan identifies catalyst projects that can be implemented over time to enhance campus definition, improve accessibility, enable dynamic partnerships and collaborations, and support the University’s mission, vision, and long-term objectives. More than a roadmap, Lindenwood 2035 provides a clear planning framework.
